SUPPORT

Fund the
accountability layer.

New York State won't build the managing agent registry. It won't enforce disclosure requirements. It won't create a complaint system. So we did. Your support keeps it running.

WHY GIVE

What your support builds.

Data Infrastructure

Servers, databases, and APIs that process millions of records from 9 NYC Open Data sources every month.

Research & Reporting

Forensic case studies, regulatory gap analysis, and public records requests that hold managing agents accountable.

Legislative Advocacy

Draft legislation, testimony at City Council hearings, and the "send this to your councilmember" tools that create political pressure.

Community Tools

Building search, violation lookup, AG complaint generator, and the story submission platform that lets residents be heard.

CONTRIBUTE

Support the mission.

Every dollar goes directly to data infrastructure, research, and public tools. No salaries, no overhead, no middlemen.

TRANSPARENCY

Where the money goes.

TASFGA publishes full financial transparency. Here's how contributions are allocated:

45%
Data infrastructure & hosting
25%
Research & legal analysis
20%
Legislative advocacy & public tools
10%
Operations & filing fees

TAX STATUS

501(c)(3) status pending.

TASFGA is organized as a New York Type A not-for-profit corporation pursuing tax-exempt status under IRC Section 501(c)(3). Our Certificate of Incorporation is being filed with the NY Department of State, followed by IRS Form 1023 for federal tax-exempt determination.

What this means for donors: Once 501(c)(3) status is granted, it is retroactive to the date of incorporation. Contributions made now may qualify as tax-deductible retroactively. However, until the IRS determination letter is received, we cannot guarantee tax-deductibility. Consult your tax advisor.

We will update this page the moment our determination letter is received.
